One Thousand Cranes

What’s this?

We all learn better by making our own decisions and being able to develop our passions. One Thousand Cranes offers an English-learning experience where the learner is actively involved through artistic expression and the completion of innovative projects. Speaking is learned through the development of authentic interpersonal relationships. The new learning paradigm is no longer the future, it’s here, and now.

Who’s it for?

Children: Play and Project corner. Nearly all the of the most important lessons we learn during our childhood happen when we’re playing. While we play, we have the chance to put our abilities to the test without the fear of making mistakes. Imagine being able to learn a second language while you’re playing, and also creating and designing projects whose outcome is a real, finished, tangible product. Imagine fully experiencing your own learning process.

Teens: Maker and Innovation Lab. The innate ability to create and develop new ideas is our human legacy. Our commitment to the learning process is greater when we ourselves innovate solutions to specific problems. It’s easier to be successful in learning a second language when there is an emotional involvement in the process. Learning is more consistent when we feel pride in coming up with our own innovative solutions.

Adults: Agile Learning Space. Learning a second language is more effective when we’re involved in the actual process. Identifying our own interests, putting them into practice, and finally reflecting upon our achievements and errors, are all necessary steps towards personal growth. Agile learning methods give us the opportunity to make the learning process visible while taking an active part in the necessary decision-making.

Individual for teens and adults: Aim-inspired Room. Clearly understanding our intentions is the best way to achieve our learning goals. Once we can identify or interests and needs, we only need to plan the necessary tasks to fulfil our objectives.

On line for teens and adults: Off campus experience. Learning can happen anywhere, anytime. With agile learning methods and technology tools we’ll be able to accompany you online in your second language learning process.

How?

In groups of 4 to 5 people.

When?

Group sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Time confirmation will be given depending on age and level. Individual sessions will be confirmed with the facilitator. From October until June.

Where?

At the Senbazuru Social Innovation Center, in El Boalo. Also, on-line.

¿How much?

Play and Project corner, Maker and Innovation Lab, Agile Learning Space, 65 euros/month. Aim-inspired Room, 90 euros. Off campus experience, 80 euros. Tuition fee 14 euros (Single payment for all OTC activities, exempt senbazuru students).

¿Qué es?

Aprendemos mejor cuando tomamos nuestras propias decisiones y podemos desarrollar nuestras pasiones. One thousand cranes ofrece una experiencia de aprendizaje del inglés en la que el aprendiz se involucra activamente a través de la expresión artística y el desarrollo de proyectos de innovación. Se aprende a hablar desarrollando relaciones personales auténticas. El nuevo paradigma del aprendizaje ya no es del futuro, es ahora.

¿Para quién?

Children: Play & Project Corner. La mayoría de los aprendizajes más importantes de nuestra infancia ocurren mientras jugamos. Durante el juego podemos poner a prueba nuestras capacidades sin miedo al error. Imagina poder aprender una segunda lengua jugando, creando y diseñando proyectos que acaban en un producto real. Imagina poder aprender mediante la experiencia.

Teens: Maker & Innovation Lab. Los seres humanos tenemos una capacidad innata para crear y desarrollar nuevas ideas. Nuestro compromiso con el aprendizaje es mayor cuando innovamos para resolver un problema. Es más fácil alcanzar el éxito para aprender una segunda lengua cuando estamos involucrados emocionalmente con el proceso. Es más consistente el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua cuando podemos sentir el orgullo de haber encontrado nuestra propia solución innovadora a un problema.

Adults: Agile Learning Space. El aprendizaje de una segunda lengua es más eficaz cuando estamos involucrados en el proceso. Identificar nuestros intereses, ponerlos en práctica y después reflexionar sobre los logros y errores son los pasos necesarios para crecer. Las metodologías ágiles nos permiten hacer visible el proceso y tener un rol protagonista en las decisiones necesarias para aprender.

Individual for teens and adults: Aim-inspired Room. No hay mejor manera de alcanzar nuestras metas que teniendo claro nuestro propósito. Cuando somos capaces de identificar nuestros intereses y necesidades solo hay que planificar las tareas necesarias para cumplir nuestros objetivos.

On line for teens and adults: Off campus experience. Aprendemos en cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento. Mediante metodologías ágiles y herramientas digitales podemos acompañarte en el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua a distancia.

¿Cómo?

En grupos de 4-5 personas.

¿Cuándo?

Sesiones grupales lunes y miércoles por la tarde, a concretar horario según grupos de nivel y edad. Sesiones individuales a concretar con el acompañante. De octubre a junio.

¿Dónde?

En el Centro de Innovación Social Senbazuru, en El Boalo, y on-line.

¿Cuánto cuesta?

Cuota mensual de actividades grupales 65 euros, individuales 90 euros, on-line 80 euros (matrícula 14 euros, pago único para todas las actividades, alumnado de Senbazuru exento).
